Lea
The current project fronted by songwriter James Fonicello, Lea have been developing a following on the strength of a summer single The Duck House, produced by Bill Readey in New Haven CT, and sharing the stage with artists like OVLOV, Florida = Death, Hellrazor, The Head and Speedy Ortiz within the past few years. They have become a scene favorite as much for their characteristically chaotic indie rock as for their involvement in the scene itself. Over the years the members of Lea have played at, lived in, and booked for such D.I.Y. hotbeds as Daggett Square, Taco Hut, and Fort Flesh. While the names and lineups may change, the sound of Lea remains constant. Going a step beyond the Pixies loud/soft paradigm, Lea hits on something harder to define - a swing between focus and mess that’s mesmerizing. They have a series of singles to be released over the Fall of 2016, followed by a debut studio album.

For fans of The Pixies, Prince, Pavement, Polvo, Pile, Petty. Tom Petty.

Sam Moth
Sam Moth writes and sings songs. Having set aside her acoustic guitar last spring, the past year has been one of experimentation and evolution as she has blended elements of pop, noise, opera, and collage into her creations. While her songs may defy easy categorization, they are all anchored by her clear, strong voice. She is thrilled to be opening for Alash, whose love for traditional vocalizations and experimental compositions are an inspiration.
