John Ferrara (Consider The Source) & Seth Moutal
John Ferrara, (bassist of Consider the Source) has been writing solo material for quite some time but in doing so realized that some of the songs needed something more. His first thought was to contact an amazingly talented drummer and multi percussionist, Seth Moutal, to bounce ideas off of. Months later they have developed these songs into something totally new and exciting!
The music is a fusion of rock, jazz, world music, progressive rock, classical and minimalism. They will be covering a lot of ground between the two of them with John on bass guitar and his homemade midi foot pedals and Seth on drum set, tabla and hand drums. The show will consist of both duo and solo pieces.
They will only be doing a few very select shows in 2017 so come on out and spread the word!
From Beirut, Lebanon to New Haven, CT, the music is inspired by international and local influences, and the project is brought to life by Rudeyna (Herbie Hancock, B.Balusubarhmaniyan, the Stepkids), Bill Readey (Pencilgrass, M.T. Bearington), Kenny Owens (St. Bernadette, Pocket Hotties), Adrian Vandegraaff (Titles, The Way Down, Trey Anastasio, Snake Oil), and Scott Packham (Oh, Cassius!). Like Freddy Mercury co-writing with Thelonious Monk, Nina Simone starring in Ziggy Stardust, or T. M. Thiagarajan composing for Charlie Chaplin.
