Pretty Lush is a four piece, no-bullshit, rock band from New Haven, Connecticut. Pretty Lush formed in summer of 2014 by singer and guitarist, Eric Gustafson, and drummer Anthony Dichiara under the name Better Half. The two had been playing together since grammar school, and had always been in love with the idea of creating something that was unique and a change of pace from the normalities of mainstream music. So, fueled by Nirvana records, a distaste for the world around them, and a metric ton of caffeine, Pretty Lush started working on their debut EP. After a slew of member changes, Pretty Lush welcomed members Nick Firine, guitar and Nick Lacey, bass previously of CT pop punk-band Anchors Away.
In early 2016, Pretty Lush released their debut EP “Heart Like a Home”. It is a collection of three gut wrenching songs about how to cope with the realization that you are falling out of love. The record starts with whirring feedback that explodes into the album's single, Crutch. Moving deeper into the record, fast paced hardcore nuances coupled with sincere lyrics and a heavy guitar presence blend to create a sound reminiscent of a Smashing Pumpkins’ record.
Currently, Pretty Lush is working on their follow up EP, Sink Into My Skin, which is expected Fall 2016.
