James Mauri and The Black River Stones
James Mauri is back with his band... James Mauri 4 and their new album PHONOGRAPHIC is as catchy as it is moody. Heavy as it is fun and as rich as it is raw. James has established himself as a dynamic singer-songwriter whose deep musicality is matched by his commanding lyrics, as outlined in his debut EP (James Mauri FOUR, 2013). This time out things are a little edgier and more aggressive. Both lyrically and with the selection of songs. James has a catalogue reaching back through the years that producer Ray Bardani chooses from. With the addition of Rich Rivers on lead guitars and the decision to cut live in studio B at Glenwood Studios, the sound is gelled and heavy. Standout tracks include What Have You Become, Astronaut, Wherever You Are, Aberlin and Sparrow and the Crow. Jm4 performs regularly in and around the northeast and is looking forward to touring this summer in support of PHONOGRAPHIC.
Fiction was formed in early 2015 by Jimi Mann, Chris Siena, and Joao Joaquim, all former members of The High Tides as well as various other collaborations. These three started with a heavy back catalog of music augmented by new material written during the hiatus.
