Casey James Prestwood and The Burning Angels
If the late night scene on Broadway Street in Nashville, Tennessee could talk, they'd sing you a Casey James Prestwood tune. Drenched in the honest twang that made Gram Parsons and Hank Williams household names, the classic crooner's carefree vocals and careful guitar playing feel more like country than a worn-in pair of cowboy boots.
Casey Prestwood - Lead Singer / Guitars
Casey is the song writer of the group. Born in Virginia, raised in the south, he grew up going to the Mullet festivals in Florida. Founding member of rock band Hot Rod Circuit, Casey has also had tenures with Colorado's Drag The River and many other national acts. Aside from music, Casey is a proud father and husband.
Kevin Finn - Drums / Vocals
Kevin hails from Mt. Vernon, Illinois and has been drumming his whole life. He prides himself on simplicity and timing.
Jeff Martin - Bass guitar / Vocals
Originally from NH, Jeff has been playing bass for over 20 years. Nothing flashy here, just solid thump.
John Macy - Pedal Steel
Steel guitarist and long time producer for The Burning Angels. John runs a studio full time along with a record label while being a session steel guitar player. John has worked with Nitty Gritty Band, Richie Furray, Los Lobos, Ricky Skaggs and more.
Jeremi Rebecca Hush - Vocals
Jeremi's unique and sharp vocals are seldom matched. Brought up singing in church, she is a founding member of Salt Lake City's own Band of Annuals. Casey met Jeremi back in 2006, and has been his "keef" ever since. She currently resides in San Francisco where you can find her playing and singing with The Come Ups.
The Split Coils
The Split Coils are the current brain child of songwriter/ multi instrumentalist J.Russell (Hot Rod Circuit, Diamond J and the Rough). Joined by his wife Katelyn Russell on percussion and harmony, Joseph Ballaro on Bass guitar and Jon Scerbo on Drums.
The songs (it's all about the songs) are a straight forward mix of Rock and Roll, Soul and Country. Independently recorded and produced at home.
We are in the process of finishing a record this summer (2017). Keep an eye out for songs on band camp.
