“The best bar band in Connecticut, period!”
Fountainhead, formed in 1974, is a legendary Connecticut rock band who came to fame in the heyday of the 80’s club scene. They rocketed to local and regional stardom opening for and playing with
Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, The Marshall Tucker Band, and The Outlaws, to name a few, while headlining in their own right.
The 1981 recording “Live” produced by Toads Place in New Haven and recorded at RCA and Toads, still holds the record for most sales of a local band in Connecticut and charted on all the rock radio
stations in the region.
Today, the band continues to bring its magic to the stage with original and long time members featuring Fountainhead classics like “Stay Away” and “I Saw You”, and covering their favorite R&R tunes.
Band members include:
Art Deske - lead guitar
Steve Nystrup - rhythm guitar/vocals
Maureen Wasik - vocals
Steven Woods - Drums
Stephen Bruno, - bass.
