About the Show and the Artist:

MINOR GOLD–Americana/Folk Duo (AUS)

Minor Gold are ARIA nominated artists Tracy McNeil & Dan Parsons. Canadian and Australian respectively, this Trans-Pacific duo echo 70’s cosmic Americana with an easy charm and potent honesty. The strength of the songwriting and the indeterminate perfection of how these two artists' voices lock in together hit right where the emotions live inside us.With dynamics ranging from the intense restraint of campfire intimacy through to open throttle abandon, Minor Golddelight and enthrall as they weave masterful harmonies and deft guitar playing around unforgettable, stripped back performances.

Since releasing their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in August 2023, the duo have been on the road-recently returning from a 30 date North American album tour with supports for The Teskey Brothers and an official showcase at Americana FEST in Nashville, TNand the 2024 Folk Alliance International in Kansas City.

W.D. MILLER is the country soundtrack to the deep South’s oldest roots. W.D. hones in on earnest storytelling and song craft, keeping in the tradition of country and folk songwriters. Channeling equal parts John Prine and Merle Haggard with a dash of Tom Waits, his honky-tonk country hymns and folky ballads keep boots stomping and tears flowing, whether touring through Germany or taking a full ensemble band on the highways and byways of America’s back roads. W.D.’s solemn guitar chords and gravelly intonations sing to the vagabond, disaffected spirits of country music’s past, while carving a new voice from traditions of rock n’ roll, blues and folk. W.D. MILLER performed at Muddy Roots Festival, Southbound and Down, Festival of the Red as well as regional tours throughout the southeast, proving this is a voice that speaks to the true heart of country and folk music. W.D.'s sophomore album "Hard Times Like These", was released in March 2022.

Allie Burnett (she/her) is a transfeminine songwriter living in New Haven, CT. Her music with multiple bands has garnered regional acclaim. The newest ensemble, The Proven Winners, explores the humor and darkness of the world with Burnet's diary-esque storytelling and lush instrumentation featuring a five-piece orchestra.
