On Joetown’s media sites, fans say that the group’s music sounds like ‘Bon Scott fronting Van Halen... And after hearing Joetown’s catalog of releases, there couldn’t be a better description of what lies within. Featuring scratchy-yet-powerful, whiskey-soaked vocals that bring to mind the late great Bon and the over-the-top testosterone rock of early Van Halen, Joetown continues to win over Rock and Metal fans worldwide. Hailing from Wallingford, Connecticut, Joetown (Joe Delaney) started on the six-string at eleven years old. After cutting his teeth in Hollywood with sold out shows on the strip and a deal with TNT/Capitol Records, Joe set off on his own. Joetown was formed in 1994, and released 3 full length offerings in 4 years including ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Man’ , an album best described by the press, who proclaimed, “This is what rock and roll is all about - dirty, mean and nasty!” Joetown can be heard on many hit TV Series such as ‘RIDE” with Norman Reedus from the Walking Dead and the FX hit series ‘The Shield.’ Bad Boy Brands also claimed “People Who Rock” as the corporate theme song for their licensing group of lifestyle attire, and beverages for many years. Joe also collaborates frequently with world renowned shredder Jimi Bell (Geezer Butler, Autograph, House of Lords) on popular tracks such as their cover of “Paradise City” on Versailles Records and “Freightrain” in 2021 and “Place My Bet On Love” in 2023. Several Joetown videos including the classic, “GO!”, have aired on hundreds of video channels including
VH1 and MTV. With the addition of guitarist and bagpiper Kerry Gollarney, the band started adding bagpipes to live performances. Says Michael Browning, AC/DC Manager (1974-1979). “Good to see this band called Joetown, from another generation and continent, do a very authentic and respectful retake of the iconic AC/DC video that I was involved in “Long Way To The Top.” Joe gives some insight, “Kerry is a secret weapon! When those pipes come out the crowd goes f’n mental, it’s like a war cry!”. In recent years the band has been performing live on their flatbed stage truck at major public events such as St. Patrick’s Day parades throughout major cities in the Northeast USA. Onstage Joe has shared the stage with many of Rock’s top acts such as Styx, Reo Speedwagon, Loverboy, Motorhead, Blue Oyster Cult, Ace Frehley, The Dictators, Dick Dale, Ratt, Poison, Peter Criss, Triumph, Marshall Tucker, Lemmy, Winger, Warrant, Lita Ford, Earl Slick, Chris Slade and tons of others. Often considered one of rock’s best kept secrets, Joetown delivers an extremely powerful and energetic live concert event.
WEST ROCKERS: The West Rockers are a unique five-piece from New Haven who started mixing up reggae with thrash metal, punk and post hardcore styles (dubbed "reggae-core" by fans) back in 2006. Their first recording was in 2008, another in 2010 was sadly lost in the bowels of a New Haven University studio. They've performed around the tri-state region and have opened for touring acts such as Hamell on Trial, 20WT and The Duppies. Today, West Rockers are working on their next project and continue to play shows regularly for fans and friends.
